Knock presents
The 1990s drawer
The stuff in the bottom of your childhood drawer, before a phone held all of it. Poke everything. It all does something.

The Casio
It tells the real time, and the stopwatch genuinely works. MODE (top right) cycles time, stopwatch and date. ST (bottom right) starts and stops the stopwatch. LIGHT is the backlight, and resets the stopwatch when it is stopped. Like it is 1997 and you are under the duvet.
The yo-yo
Land the trick. Tap when the marker hits the bright zone. Chain them for a combo. The zone shrinks the better you get.

The egg
Tap to hatch, then actually look after it: feed it, play, clean up after it, send it to sleep, dose it when it is poorly. Care for it well and it grows up, egg to adult. Neglect it and it wanders off.

Pick your starter
Professor Knock has a question: grass, fire or water? Pick your partner, then take on a wild battle, Game Boy style. Type matchups matter.
PROF. KNOCK: a world of pocket monsters awaits. So, which will it be?
Not the mama
You know the one. Whack-a-baby: hit start, then bop the baby every time it pops up somewhere new. Twenty seconds on the clock. Mind the saucepan.
Press start. The baby moves. Bop it.
The Game Boy
Grey brick. Four AAs. A real game on the screen: catch the falling conkers in the basket. Miss three and it is over. Press A to start, the D-pad to move, B to drop a turbo catch.
There is, of course, Snake. Play it →
The Flying V
Penalty shootout. Tap once to aim, again to set the power, then beat the keeper. Five shots. You know the chant.

The rollerblades
Knee pads were for cowards. Click to set off down the close.
West Philadelphia
Blazer inside out. The flip. You are not going to sing it here, copyright says no, but you are singing it in your head and we both know it.
The sitcom that made every school blazer a fashion crime. 1990 to 1996. Six series. Zero regrets.
The slap bracelet
Banned from at least one school near you. Lay it flat, slap your wrist, it curls. Click to slap.
flat. (click)
The mixtape
Build your own. Tap tunes to add them to the tape, then press play and the reels spin while it plays back, one track at a time. Clear it and start again. Thumb on the pause button optional.

The 3210
The original. Indestructible. Battery measured in days. The only phone that mattered, and the one Knock still recommends a 2024 reissue of.
None of it had a feed.
That is the whole thing. The drawer was full of objects that did one thing, ran out of battery slowly, and never once buzzed at 2am. You turned out fine. Probably.
Knock is a small UK site that helps you give a bit of that back to your own kid, starting with a first phone that does calls, texts and Snake, and not the other thing.
